Communitea

Many of the conversations I’ve been having with friends, family, and acquaintances over the last year have been centered around the question of, “how did we get here?” While it is an important question – I think the better, or next, question should be, “how do we fix it?” My dear friend Rachel Kiss and I have come to the conclusion that the only answer is by rebuilding community. Intentionally or not, social media has divided us. It has eroded the bonds that connected us, deregulated us, and has reduced us all into voices shouting into a digital void. The intention of Communitea is to get people together in real life, communicating, interacting, expanding empathy for one another, experiencing other points of view, and coming up with ideas to help our communities during these divided times.
